Yie Mei is a caring and sensitive teacher. She is concern about her student's character while working with them to achieve their goals. Besides teaching violin and piano, she also does theory of music, and also jazz! She has graduated her Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours at Universiti Putra Malaysia, under the tutelage of Ms. Yeoh Pei Ann, Dr. Andrew Filmer, Ms. Mabel Wong etc. She's accumulated nearly 10 years of teaching experiences. Nevertheless, as a teacher, Yie Mei never stopped learning. She's been actively involving herself in ABRSM Music Teacher Conferences, Kodaly Hangouts, Music Therapy Workshops, Alexander Technique Workshops and many other masterclasses and pedagogy clinics, working to provide the best education for her students.
Yie Mei is also active in the performing scene in concerts, wedding gigs, and competitions. She's also joined Symphony Orchestras and performed under the baton of many conductors. Notable performances as below:
